Is an Associate's degree actually worth anything in your guys' opinion?
Main Post:
I'm thinking like an AA or AS transfer degree or an Associate of General Studies. To be clear, I know that workers with associate's degrees do generally make more money over their lifetimes and are healthier and better off per scientific studies, but at least on the surface, it doesn't seem like a general associate's like any of those listed above would get you very far. Am I wrong?

Do my associates get paid?
Main Post:
So I just completed my first Headhunter/Sightseer grind today and ended up at Level 23 at the end of the day and I was able to earn $130,000. I completed these missions with the help of an associate and we were able to bang out 3 Headhunters and 3 Sightseers. I have a feeling I am about to let myself in for a sleepless night of guilt so I decided to ask this to all of you: Did my associate get paid or was she just helping me out selflessly?
Top Comment: Don’t worry, your associates get paid for the VIP missions. Pretty sure they get the full 21k or so. They’ll also get paid (though not as much as you) when doing sell missions and exporting vehicles.

How do I give my CEO associates more permissions?

They keep whining that they can't request any organisation vehicles but I can't find where to change this.

You can't.
Would it be beneficial to get my associates before my bachelors?
Main Post:
I'm looking into getting my health science degree, but unsure if I should get the associates first and then go into the bachelors.
The bachelors seems like a lot of work up front. I'm just wondering if I get the associates first will there be less work for the bachelors when I get to it?
Also, is there a list of courses on sophia.org and study.com that I can take and transfer over to UoP?
For the job I want I really only need the associates, but I figure more education never hurts.
Thanks for reading and for the help.
Top Comment: Someone else can probably weigh in, or else look back further in this forum. From what I recall, you can enrol in the bachelor degree and get the AS along the way when you satisfy the requirements. So the posters have seemed to push everyone towards going for the bachelor. Also saves having to reapply or save the application fees or something like that.
What is even the point of an Associates Degree if employers all just want Bachelors?

So I am been looking for an IT job since I graduated in 2020. I got sold the "You can make 80k out of college" BS and I've had to slowly lower my expectations as the years have gone by that I not at a point that I'm about to just take anything IT related to just get my foot in the door.
I don't know what the hell I'm doing wrong, every time I look to see if a 2 year degree was worth it, I see article after article saying that a 2 year degree is just fine, yet I've had 2 years of never getting a response and now I'm at two years of getting nothing but rejections and in addition to never hearing about my the status of my application.
It should be noted that had I two different internships which gave me next to nothing for IT experience. One had some KEYWORD "some" Web Dev experience but it was limited to Square Space, like seriously Square Space, its designed for idiots. The second was doing videography and the most technical thing was editing video in Adobe Premier.
Graduating in 2020 which right as the Pandemic hit the US, job hunting was damn near impossible. What do I need to do differently? Because it seems I got boned for any useful experience that could help me land a job.
Top Comment: Usually, associates is just used as a way to take college credits for cheap and just transfer the credits to a bachelors program.

Should I include an associates degree when I have a Bachelors and Masters in the same field?
Main Post:
I'm located in the U.S. I went to a community college for an associates in accounting and then proceeded to go to an online college while working as an accountant for my bachelors and masters, both of which are also in accounting. I'm struggling to keep my resume to one page with my associates on there but not quite enough for 1.5 pages. So I figure that might be a way to bring it down.

Complete noob, how does associates work?
Main Post:
So I don’t know much about college. I no idea what I want to study or get a degree in. I thought an associates was just basically high school or slightly higher learning than high school, that it had nothing to do with what you will get a bachelors in. But I just read that you can get an associates in different areas like cyber security, etc, so now I feel like I know even less. I thought about just getting an associates while I decide what to get a degree in but now I don’t know if that’s smart.
So any recommendations?
Top Comment: Associates Degrees are kinda like half of a bachelor's! Any example, is that of a nursing associates. If you hold a associates degree in nursing, you can continue to complete your bachelor's in 2 years Associate Degrees are a great choice to study. I recommend picking an associates that lines up great with a career you want to pursue, and where you can continue to grow! Lmk if you have any questions
